Admissions Process
Winfield enrolls on a school-year basis, so our primary enrollment process is built around starting the school year in September. Off-cycle enrollments are possible, but are handled on a case-by-case basis, depending on availability. Families are welcome to contact us at any time to get more information, but generally, completion of the interest form is the best first step to being included in our application and enrollment process.
For the regular enrollment cycle, tours are conducted throughout the year. Applications and updated tuition are typically released at the beginning of October. Our goal is to be through all of the steps leading up to enrollment by the time we close for our winter break, typically around the 3rd week in December.
Summer Camp enrollment is only available to Winfield-enrolled students, so takes place in February, after the completion of enrollment for the upcoming school year.

This is our first step to collect information about your child and your family and to begin to get to know what you are looking for in a school.
Once the interest form is completed, a member of our admissions team will contact you to answer any questions you have about the program and our process, and to connect you with our online tour scheduling.
You are always more than welcome to call the school to ask questions and learn more about Winfield prior to completing the interest form, but we will ask you to complete that prior to scheduling a tour.
-
Tours are parent-only (carried infants are more than welcome). One or both parents are welcome, but there is no requirement that both attend.
The tour times are usually during our morning work period, so that you can see the classrooms in action. If you are unable to make those morning times, we are happy to make other arrangements.
-
There is no expectation that the application be completed prior to the tour. There is a non-refundable application fee attached to it, and we want to ensure that you have all of the information you need before deciding to apply.
The application material, including tuition, is typically sent out after the completion of the tour.
Once you decide to apply, the application is completed online.

This brief parent-only interview with our Head of School, Michelle Vogel, will be scheduled after receipt and review of the application, and if there appears to be a path forward with preferred schedules, philosophical match, etc.
Any interviews we aren't able to schedule prior to December will be picked back up beginning in the second week in January if there are any enrollment spaces remaining.
-
We start making placement offers to new families in mid-January, following the completion of current and alumni family registration. Offers will continue to be made until our spaces are filled.
Typically, the Toddler House will completely filled during this January enrollment period, with some rolling admissions for the Children’s House continuing after this.
Enrollment is secured by the payment of a non-refundable deposit of 10% of the total tuition for the enrolled schedule.
