Summer Camp
Winfield’s Summer Camp complements the school year program by reinforcing routines and building on the skills and knowledge that have been developing all year.
With a focus on different themes each week, campers enjoy hands-on activities and exploration through outdoor play, science and nature projects, exploring a variety of artistic media, playing games, and learning about the world around them!
We have three camps, aligned around the ages of the children attending, and in keeping with the ages of our Toddler House, Children's House, and Kindergarten programs.
Campo Piccolo: for our youngest campers - from 16 months to 3 years as of the start of camp.
Campo Medio: must be 3 by the start of camp and fully toilet independent
Campo Vecchio: must be 5 by the start of camp or entering Winfield’s Kindergarten in the fall.
Whatever the camp, your child will have endless opportunities to develop their physical strength and coordination, interact with friends, and explore the wonder of the natural world!
Spending time outdoors is integrated into the program each day, taking full advantage of our outdoor classroom, Big Back Woods, and access to the Falmouth Land Trust trails across the street! After all, what is summer in Maine if not the opportunity to be outside as much as possible!
Because Winfield Summer Camps are only open to enrolled students, registration takes place in February, following the completion of our school-year enrollment.
“Play is the work of the child.”
